Meet our founder: Joel Gan

Joel started Guitar Movement with the vision to provide quality guitar education and maintenance here in Singapore.

Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music from Lasalle College of the Arts, specializing in guitar performance, he has been teaching electric, acoustic guitar and ukulele privately through one-to-one coaching and groups for the past 8 years, teaching a variety of over 100 students, ranging from 10-70 years old, and is versed with students of various ages and backgrounds.

Being a seasoned guitarist, Joel has performed at various venues such as The Star Theatre, Hard Rock Coliseum, Esplanade and various locations in Singapore, with notable events including opening for international Rock band Scorpions and Whitesnake, and Japanese metal band Lovebites.
